Famous Punjabi singer and rapper Sidhu Moosewala aka Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu’s death not just shook his fans but also left a deep void in the international music community. Moosewala’s popularity breached the barriers of border and language. Soon after his assassination condolences poured in from the biggest international celebrities. Many international stars paid their tribute to the Moosewala recreating his popular Thapi move on stage. Now Canadian rapper and singer Drake has launched a T-shirt in memory of the Punjabi singer.
Announcing the launch in an Instagram post, the official page of Drake’s team posted a video where the Canadian singer and rapper could be seen sporting the newly launched t-shirt at one of his recent concerts.
The T-shirt- features a portrait of the Sidhu Moosewala along with his name and years of his life. ‘(1993-2022). The video posted also featured a compilation of cinematic shots from music albums of the slain Punjabi singer.
“Sidhu Moose Wala (1993-2022), We celebrate your life and influence in India, Canada, everywhere. Rest in peace to our friend and legend. Remembering this legend," Drake’s wrote while adding the tees will be available on his website,www.drakerelated.com. They further wrote that efforts were being made tocontact Sidhu Moosewala’s family and dedicate proceeds from this drop in his honour.
The Tees are being sold on his site with the ‘RIP Sidhu Moose Wala T-Shirt’ at 65 dollars which is cost approximately Rs 5,000. Earlier, British rapper KSI also paid his homage to The Last Ride singer. He donned a black Tee featuring a portrait of the late singer.
On May 29, Moose Wala was shot dead by shooters when he was travelling through Jawaharke village in Punjab’s Mansa district. The late Punjabi singer was on his way to his aunt’s home when shooters attacked his Thar SUV. Two others who were present in the SUV were also injured in the firing incident.
