'Emotional' Abhishek Reveals Planning Behind Surprise Birthday Bash for Dad Amitabh on KBC 14; Watch

The Shahenshah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan is celebrating his 80th birthday today and it is no less than a festival for cinema lovers. To make his big day special, Senior Bachchan’s fans gathered outside his home, Jalsa at midnight and he also stepped out to greet his fans. He also received a big surprise from his son Abhishek and wife Jaya on the set of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14. Bachchan even got teary-eyed when he saw his loved ones on the set of his show, KBC 14. Now, Abhishek Bachchan has shared a video of how he planned a huge birthday surprise for his dad.

The Bluffmaster actor took to Instagram to post the video from KBC 14 set. In the video, the actor can be seen prepping and rehearsing hard to surprise his dad, Amitabh Bachchan.

Along with the video, he wrote, “It took a lot of secrecy, a lot of planning, a lot of hard work and a lot of rehearsals to get it right. But then again, he deserves no less! It was very emotional to be able to surprise dad and celebrate his 80th Birthday at the place he loves the most, his workplace."

He added, “My gratitude to the entire team of Sony and Kaun Banega Crorepati for helping me do this and making tonight’s episode so special for my father. Do try and see it if possible. KBC on 11th October at 9pm IST only on Sony TV."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will be next seen in Sooraj Barjatya’s Uunchai. The film also stars Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and Parineeti Chopra. It will be released on the big screen on November 11, 2022.
