Krishna Janmashtami is an annual festival in which netizens celebrate Lord Krishna’s birth. This year, Krishna Janmashtami is observed on September 6 and 7. On the joyous occasion of Krishna Janmashtami 2022, Bollywood celebrities including Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, and others have taken to social media to express their warm wishes to the fans. They even shared photos of lord Krishna.
Hrithik Roshan took to his X handle and wrote, “May the love, compassion and tenderness of Shree Krishna enlighten our lives. Happy Krishna Janmashtami, beautiful people.” Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “T 4760 – जन्माष्टमी की अनेक अनेक शुभकामनाएँ.” Many fans also wished the celebs in the comment section. Hema Malini took to her Instagram handle and wrote, “A brief glimpse into my Janmashtami decorations which I love doing personally every year! I stitch new clothes for Radharani and Krishna and I enjoy adorning them. This is my own personal private pooja in my house. Happy Janmashtami to all.” Sidharth Malhotra and Anupam Kher took to their social handles and wished fans.

Talking about Janmashtami, people fast and pray on this day to please Lord Krishna. Devotees observe a 24-hour fast and offer milk-based Bhog to Lord Krishna. Devotees also dance and enacting Krishna’s life, singing devotional songs till midnight, and decorating the house and place of worship with garlands and diyas.
