Tomorrow, on October 14, arch-rivals India and Pakistan will face off in a highly anticipated cricket World Cup match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Millions of cricket enthusiasts from both countries are expected to gather in restaurants, bars, street markets, and malls to witness this intense clash. The India-Pakistan cricket rivalry is known worldwide, drawing substantial global viewership due to the fierce competition between the teams.
Meanwhile, even Bollywood is geared up to witness the big match either from their cozy confines of their home or their phones / screens on sets. Ahead of the clash, actor Arjun Kapoor, a big cricket buff, took to Instagram to issue a notice. It read in Hindi, “Notice: Aap jis number se sampark karna chahte hai woh kal 2pm se 10pm uplabdh nahi hai! #IndVsPak”. It translates to “The number you want to contact will not be available from 2 pm to 10 pm tomorrow.”
Arjun Kapoor had earlier shown his support for women’s cricket by pledging financial assistance to an 11-year-old cricket prodigy from Mumbai. The young girl, Anisha Rout, hailing from an underprivileged background, was recently in the local spotlight. It was revealed that despite her challenging circumstances, she diligently trains as the opening batter for the MIG Cricket Club in Mumbai. Arjun Kapoor has stepped forward to cover her expenses until she reaches adulthood, recognizing her talent and determination.
Meanwhile, it seems all is well between Salman Khan and Arjun Kapoor, contrary to the multiple unverified media reports claiming the duo has not been on talking terms for a while. On Wednesday, Salman announced that he’d be attending the ICC World Cup India vs Pakistan match on October 14 (Saturday), where he will promote his upcoming movie Tiger 3.
The video announcement was also shared by YRF on their official Instagram handle, and Arjun Kapoor was quick to like the post, putting an end to all rumours about his alleged cold war with Salman.
