India U19 will kickstart their campaign against Afghanistan U19 on December 29, 2023, before taking on South Africa U19 on January 02, 2024. The final will be played on January 10, 2024.

Ahead of the forthcoming ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup, the Uday Sharan-led side will take part in a tri-series along with Afghanistan and hosts South Africa, starting December 29. The tri-series will be played at the Old Edwardians Cricket Club, Johannesburg and will witness each team playing each other twice.

India U19 will kickstart their campaign against Afghanistan U19 on December 29, 2023, before taking on South Africa U19 on January 02, 2024. The final will be played on January 10, 2024.

Here’s the fixture for the U-19 tri-series:

Defending champions India will start the defence of their crown on January 20 against Bangladesh, who claimed the silverware when the tournament was last hosted in South Africa back in 2020.

In the group listings, holders India are joined by Bangladesh, Ireland and the USA in Group A. Group B consists of England, South Africa, West Indies and Scotland. Group C features Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and Namibia while Group D is made up of Afghanistan, Pakistan, New Zealand and Nepal.

Hosts South Africa will play the tournament opener against West Indies on 19 January.

The event will welcome a new format for this edition, where teams progressing from the group stages will enter a new Super Six stage, starting 30 January, where two groups of six teams will clash to determine the Semi-Finalists and the subsequent Finalists.
