Comedian and television presenter Kapil Sharma is all set to appear in the new season of The Kapil Sharma Show. Ahead of the show’s premiere, Kapil Sharma was seen in a new avatar, breaking a stereotype. He donned a pink attire and posed stylishly for the cameras. Taking to Instagram, Kapil posted a tongue-in-cheek, witty caption to accompany the picture. He wrote, “I jus googled it r u reading @tamannaahspeaks Can boys wear pink? Yes, you read that right, real men wear pink. Pink is a masculine and cool colour for guys."

“Unknown to many, historically, pink wasn’t always a feminine color. In the 18th century, for instance, men were known to wear pink silk suits that had floral (patterns)… Men wear pink and it does not diminish your manliness!", Sharma empathetically added to the caption.
Netizens appreciated Kapil’s post. Long-time friend and actor Archana Puran Singh wrote, “In fact the hot pink you wore for the last episode is my favorite look for you Kapil. I messaged Ginni also since she’s styling you na. Please don’t change your stylist now."
Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh also commented on Sharma’s post and said, “Kya baat hai .. Hero look .. Akshay Kumar fail kar ditta ..killer look!" Nearly impossible to recognize in his new look, it is clear that Kapil has worked on his health.
This is not the first time, Kapil Sharma attempted to break a stereotype. Earlier too, he took paternity break-busting patriarchal norms of only a mother taking maternity leave. In an interview, the comedian explained that he needed to ‘be there at home with his wife to welcome their second baby’.
The Kapil Sharma show will begin on September 10 and will be aired on Sony TV, every Saturday and Sunday. Previously, the actor was on a tour to the United States and Canada where he performed for packed audiences with his TKSS team.
