Back in 1998, Shah Rukh Khan’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai released and turned out to be a massive hit in the rom com space. Recently, the actor opened up if he would be keen on doing more rom coms.
At the recently held fan screening, Shah Rukh shared, “Ab pata nahi love story karu ya nahi karu, ab Jawan bachcho ko karne do (now I don’t know if I should still do a love story, let’s leave them for younger actors).”
Speaking of the screening, Shah Rukh shared, “Is film ka humare liye bahut hi important makaam hai humari zindagi mein, humare dilo mein. Aap log thoda bahut samajhte ho, pura nahi samjhoge kyunki kuch kuch hota hai (this film is a very important milestone in our lives and in our hearts. You people understand this to some extent but you cannot understand it fully because there is something that happens).”
Yesterday night, Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji and director Karan Johar surprised fans watching special screenings of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. On Sunday night, Karan hosted three special screenings of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in Mumbai as the film completes 25 years. With the film, Karan Johar too completed 25 years in the industry. While fans gathered to relive the iconic film, no one was prepared to watch SRK, Rani and Karan take the centre stage. Fans got emotional as they watched the trio reunite. Kajol couldn’t attend the event due to an outdoor schedule.
Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai remains an iconic film to have come out in the history of Indian Cinema. Whether it was Shah Rukh Khan’s palpable chemistry with Rani Mukerji and Kajor or indelible dialogues such as ‘Tussi Jaa Re Ho, Tussi Na Jaao’, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai continues to be a memorable watch even today. Apart from this, the film also featured Salman Khan as a cameo.
