Allu Arjun, one of the most popular South actors, is on cloud nine as he will be receiving a national award for his performance in the blockbuster film Pushpa. In a moment of sheer celebration and exuberance, he recreated an iconic Pushpa style on the red carpet of the National Awards 2023. The video of this heartfelt and spontaneous reenactment has gone viral, captivating fans across the nation. The actor has won the best actor award.
Ahead of the ceremony he was seen speaking to the media and he expressed his excitement. He said, “I am extremely happy I am receiving this award, and receiving it for a commercial film is a double achievement for me personally." Dressed in a stylish and classic ensemble, he exuded grace and charisma as he made his way down the red carpet. Before leaving for the ceremony, he was asked to recreate the signature Pushpa style and he obliged it.

Apart from winning the Best Actor category, Pushpa also brought home the award for Best Music Director (Songs). Pushpa released in December 2021 and was a massive hit not only in the Telugu speaking regions but also across other parts of India. Several iconic moments from the movie were recreated not just by fans but also by actors and cricketers.
Allu Arjun is now preparing for Pushpa 2 aka Pushpa: The Rule. The film is releasing next year in August. Allu Arjun shared his first-look poster of Pushpa 2 in which he was seen dressed in a saree with his face painted in shades of blue and red. He also sported bangles, jewellery, a nose pin and jhumkas. Last month, the look poster of Fahadh Faasil from the movie was also released.
Meanwhile, another Telugu movie that ruled at the National Film Awards 2023 was RRR. The film won Best Popular Film: Providing Wholesome Entertainment, Best Male Playback Singer and Best Stunt Choreography. R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect won Best Feature Film Award whereas, the Best Actress Award was given to Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon for Gangubai Kathiawadi and Mimi, respectively.
