Salman Khan and Kabir Khan, two top figures in Indian cinema, have collaborated on successful films like Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. There has been a high demand for their reunion in another film, and entertainment portal Bollywood Hungama has exclusive information that suggests that it might happen soon.
Reliable sources have confirmed that Kabir Khan has presented a script close to his heart to Salman Khan. “Kabir feels that the character suits no one but Salman. There are people around who are trying to push other stars to play the part, but Kabir is adamant about Salman being his top choice for this feature film,” a source informed Bollywood Hungama.
Salman and Kabir have had meetings in both November and December to discuss the preliminary concept. Kabir has assured Salman that he will return with the complete script by the end of January. “Salman too is excited by the idea. The script is titled Babbar Sher and if Salman agrees to do the film, it will mark the 4th collaboration of Salman and Kabir after Ek Tha Tiger, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Tubelight,” the source told us further.
Salman Khan’s last release was Tiger 3. It had a release on Sunday, November 12, and couldn’t take full advantage of the Diwali festive season, partly due the Cricket World Cup matches. Despite a strong initial performance with earnings of 44.50 crores, the film concluded its theatrical run with a total of 286 crores at the Indian box office.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan and Karan Johar are also coming together again after a quarter-century for a high-budget action film directed by Vishnuvardhan. Reports suggest that the film is inspired by a true story and will feature Salman Khan in the role of a paramilitary officer. The initial plan was to start filming in November 2023, with the aim of releasing it on the big screen over the Christmas weekend in 2024.
