SRK Promises Dunki Will 'Entertain Fans More Than Jawan, Pathaan': 'It Will Speak Such...'

Shah Rukh Khan opened up about Dunki and said that it will entertain fans more than Pathaan and Jawan. SRK has had a stellar year at the box office. The superstar made a comeback after four years with Pathaan in January and followed it up with the release of Jawan in September. Both the films were blockbusters, making Shah Rukh the only Bollywood star to earn over Rs 1000 Cr at the box office in India this year. The actor is now gearing for his hat-trick with Dunki.

The teaser was released on his 58th birthday and hours later, SRK sat down with his fans to talk about the film. The actor said that while he could have easily dived into the making of Jawan 2, he intends on making different stories and Dunki is bound to stand out. “It’s very easy for me to make Jawan 2. I can call Atlee today and he will happily make it. I don’t want to do that. I want to make new cinema for all of you,” he said.

Shah Rukh added that while Pathaan was a stylish film, Dunki will be a film that will ‘speak much volumes’. “(Dunki) itni entertain karegi, as a matter of fact I do feel, a lot of people will be entertained more than Jawan and Pathaan,” he said. In another video from the event, Shah Rukh revealed that it took the team two to three years to make Dunki.

Dunki is slated to release on Christmas this year. The film will be clashing with Prabhas’ Salaar.
