Delhi woman shares horrifying story of being harassed by an elderly man in DTC bus. Here is what happened.

In what comes as a shocking incident, a Delhi woman shared how she was sexually harassed in a DTC bus while traveling. Taking to Reddit as an anonymous user, the woman shared her scary story which has now stunned people on the social media platform. The woman explained that while she was traveling in a crowded bus, a man in his 50s was standing right behind her. She suddenly felt something hard trying to hit her. For some time, she thought that it was a mistake. However, when it happened repeatedly only then she could make out what was actually happening.

“I moved forward a bit. Then same thing happened, I understood what it is, I was shocked for a bit,” she explained. Further, she gathered some courage and asked the man to step back in a high pitch.

“At that moment, the driver put break and everyone started learning. So, people got distracted, I was loud enough that at least all the people near me would listen, but bad luck. After I shouted at him, he ignored it completely and moved behind, like I was talking to someone else,” she wrote.

Ever since the incident took place, the woman explains that she has been feeling disgusted. “I should have scolded him badly with cuss words. Should have been loud enough to get him kicked out of the bus. But I just kept thinking about what just happened. I was shocked,” she mentioned.

The incident has left many people in shock online. “Exactly no matter how you think it….when the shit happens you are stuck like a deer in front of a headlight and the shitty feeling after the incident eats you from inside which is more of a disappointment in oneself,” commented a Reddit user. Another person wrote, “This comment. I was in the same situation. I guy was bumping his shoulder to mine constantly at bumps in a crowded bus. I told him to keep off but he said there isn’t space. He then later started moving behind me. I felt so helpless. But I decided later that next time I will speak up. Loudly and shamelessly like some aunties do. The only way is to practise and not give a damn what others say.”

Many women shared how they have been through similar situations.

“Sorry, you had to go through this. It was really brave of you to tell him off. These things happen quite often, that doesn’t make it any less shitty for the victim. Hope you start feeling better and more power to you,” commented another user.
