Virat Kohli
Despite India’s disappointing loss in the World Cup final, Virat Kohli was able to offer the home fans several remarkable moments during the campaign. Kohli capped off the tournament as the highest run-scorer and was also named the Player of the Tournament. In 2023, Kohli donned the India jersey in 27 ODIs and managed to register centuries six times. He also slammed eight half-centuries in 2023, scoring 1377 runs at an average of over 70.
Rohit Sharma
The Indian captain was certainly one of the most aggressive openers of the year. Rohit Sharma has maintained a 100-plus strike rate while featuring in 27 ODIs in 2023. He racked up 1255 runs including nine half-centuries and 2 tons.
Daryl Mitchell
The New Zealand all-rounder demonstrated his batting excellence in 2023. Representing the Black Caps in 26 ODIs, Daryl Mitchell scored a total of 1204 runs including five tons and three half-centuries. Two of his hundreds came against India during the ODI World Cup.
Pathum Nissanka
Sri Lanka struggled to showcase their A-game in the ODI format in recent times. But their top-order batter Pathum Nissanka managed to secure a place on the list of top run-getters of 2023. He played in 29 ODIs this year and accumulated 1151 runs. Nissanka notched two centuries and nine fifty-plus scores while maintaining an average of 44.26 in the 50-over format in 2023.

Fargana Hoque
The Bangladeshi batter took part in 11 ODIs this year. Including two centuries, Fargana Hoque has aggregated a total of 460 runs at an average of 46. Her highest score of 107 runs came against India during a fixture in July.
Chamari Athapaththu
The Sri Lankan all-rounder has played in eight ODIs in 2023, scoring 415 runs at a 60-plus average. Athapaththu brought up two centuries and one fifty in the ODI format this year.
Laura Wolvaardt
The South African opener, who scored 882 ODI runs in 2022, has continued her sublime form this year as well. Featuring in nine ODIs in 2023, Laura Wolvaardt recorded 413 runs including two tons and as many half-centuries.
Natalie Sciver-Brunt
The English cricketer is one of the most prolific all-rounders in recent times. Natalie Sciver-Brunt accumulated 393 runs having featured in six ODIs in 2023. She has notched three centuries while maintaining a strike rate of over 100 this year.
