It will be a busy week this festive season for PM Narendra Modi with back-to-back visits to Gujarat, Kedarnath, Badrinath and Mana Village in Uttarakhand, and Ayodhya in the run-up to Diwali, and to the border on Diwali to spend the day with soldiers.
The Prime Minister will be in Gujarat on October 19 and 20, will visit Kedarnath and Badrinath on October 21 and 22 and will be in Ayodhya for the ‘Deepotsav’ celebrations for the first time on October 23, a day before Diwali. In Kedarnath and Badrinath, the PM will lay the foundation stone of ropeway projects to these shrines and stay the night in Badrinath. Modi will also visit Mana village, the last village of India on the Indo-China border, near Badrinath on October 22, for reviewing the border village development programme.
The jam-packed visit will cover several sectors from defence to diplomacy, education, environment, spiritual, heritage, sports, roads, ropeways, temple rejuvenation, tourism, light house to LiFE, infrastructure to industries, among others.
The PM will leave for Kedarnath from Delhi around 5:30 am on October 21 where he will have Darshan and lay the foundation stone of the Sonprayag to Kedarnath via Gaurikund ropeway project. This 13-km long ropeway project is pegged at a cost of Rs 985 Crore. He will be inspecting the ongoing development projects and then will leave for Badrinath where he will see a presentation on the development plan of the shrine. The PM will stay the night in Badrinath and visit the border village of Mana the next morning on October 22 before returning to Delhi.

The Ayodhya visit on October 23 will be a key one as Modi will be paying obeisance at the under-construction Ram Temple over two years after he did the bhoomipujan of the proposed temple. The construction of the Ram temple is almost 50% complete and ground floor of the temple is expected to open for darshan to pilgrims by the end of 2023. The PM will also do Saryu river Aarti and attend the Deepotsav celebrations in the presence of UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The PM will also attend the Rajya-Abhishek of Bhagwan Shri Ram.

The PM will also visit the border on Deepavali day to spend a day with the soldiers. The details of that visit and the location are kept a secret.

The government has already announced Modi’s two-day visit to Gujarat on October 19-20 during which he will inaugurate the Defence Expo in Gandhinagar and visit Adaldaj, Junagarh and Rajkot to unveil various development projects. The PM will also visit Kevadia and Vyara during his visit.
On October 22, after his return from Uttarakhand, the PM will participate in the Griha Pravesham function of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (Gramin) beneficiaries in Madhya Pradesh via video-conferencing and also participate in an important programme, which will impact the youth across the country.
