'Ro-Ko are Back': Fans React as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli Return to India Squad for Afghanistan T20 Series

Team India announced the squad to take on Afghanistan in the home series on Sunday as skipper Rohit Sharma returns to the fold to lead the team in the series scheduled to begin on the 11th of January.

Star batsman Virat Kohli also returns to the lineup in the team named to play the Afghan unit touring India.

One fan posted an update that read, “Captain Rohit Sharma will be Captaining Team India in the T20I series against Afghanistan. – CAPTAIN ROHIT IS BACK…!!!!!”

Another fan posted, “More of this, please!  Ro-Ko are back in the T20Is set-up for India  Rohit will be leading India in the T20Is against Afghanistan”

One fan, buoyed by the return of the skipper and the star batsman to the unit shared an update that read, “Me after getting this news. Rohit-Kohli duo” along with a video clipping from a Bollywood movie.

With the ICC T20 World Cup this year looming large on the horizon, on fan opined that, “If ro ko opens it can be our best chance in this wc”

The three-match T20 series against the touring Afghanistan will get underway on the 11th of January at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali. The second match of the series is slated to take place on the 14th of January at the Holkar Stadium in Indore before the final game, which is scheduled to be played on the 17th at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
