Star India pacer Mohammed Shami’s mother Anjum Ara was taken to the doctor after complaining of dizziness on the morning of the India vs Australia ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Final being played in Ahmedabad on Sunday. The bowler’s family, including his mother, was supposed to travel to Ahmedabad to watch the final. However, News18 CricketNext has reliably learned that only his older brother Haseeb and his family were the only ones who were there at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

News18 correspondent in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, had spoken to Anjum Ara on Saturday, November 18, and she had said she’d been unwell for a couple of days due to anxiety.
She had gone for a routine check-up on the morning of the India vs Australia World Cup 2023 final. However, it’s unconfirmed whether she was admitted to a hospital.
Shami’s younger brother Mohammed Kaif, who’s part of Bengal’s Vijay Hazare probable squad and is currently in Mumbai, told CricketNext that he’s unaware of the development as of yet.

Speaking with news agency ANI, Anjum wished her son all the best for the big final against Australia, saying that may the almighty make Shami successful. The video was shared by the agency on the microblogging site X, hours before the start of play at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
“He is making the country proud. May the almighty make him successful so that he can bring the World Cup home,” Anjum told ANI.
