Indian Women’s cricketing sensation Shreyanka Patil appears to be enjoying herself in the West Indies after she scalped a crucial wicket in her second Caribbean Premier League (CPL) match.
Representing the Guyana Amazon Warriors, Patil scalped the wicket of Britney Cooper to turn the match in her team’s favour. In the first ball of the 16th over against Trinbago Knight Riders, Patil sent a clean ball straight down the pitch. The ball turned towards the stumps right as it bounced, sending Cooper packing for five runs in three balls.
The official account of CPL T20 posted the video of the wicket on platform X. “Shreyanka Patil looks like she’s loving life in her first WCPL – she claims the Massy Play of the Day with this corker”, read the post.

The Guyana Amazon Warriors faced the Trinbago Knight Riders in the fourth T20 of the Women’s CPL. The match took place at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain on September 6. The Warriors won the toss and decided to bat first. Shreyanka Patil failed to impress in the first innings and managed to add only three runs in four balls before being dismissed by Anisa Mohammed.
Anisa went on to take four wickets in the game. It was Sophie Devine and Stafanie Taylor who rescued the Warriors’ ship by hitting 48 and 32 runs, respectively. Off their performances, the Warriors were able to stitch together a respectable total of 132 runs.
In the second innings of the game, Shreyanka Patil did not let the Knight Riders get comfortable as she scalped the wicket of Mignon du Preez. The Karnataka-born 21-year-old dismissed Mignon for eight runs in 11 balls in the 13th over of the game. She took a total of two wickets in the game alongside the likes of Shabnim Ismail, Sophie Devine and Karishma Ramharack. Their combined eight-wicket haul was enough to stomp the Knight Riders at a score of 111 runs, sealing a 21-run victory for the Warriors.
