The newly launched Harley Davidson X440, which has been receiving an overwhelming response from customers, landed in a soup after Bangalore-based EV start-up Ultraviolette object the motorcycle’s name.
It has been reported that the electric two-wheeler manufacturer has filed a formal disagreement against the Hero MotoCorp for introducing the motorcycle under the ‘X440’, which they claimed to have the trademark filed in September, last year.
Hero MotoCorp Has 60 Days To Respond
However, the leading homegrown two-wheeler maker has not reacted or released any official statement about the same as yet. The report claims that the brand has only 60 days to reply against the objection raised by Ultraviolette.
Currently, the X440 trademark, which is being used by both Harley Davidson and Hero MotoCorp for their locally created cruiser bike, is yet to be accepted by the national filings portal. The status under the name also features the ‘opposed’ status.
