Pakistan continue to be poor on the field during the ongoing Test series against Australia. Their sloppiness was on display on Day 2 of the third Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Standing in the slips, Pakistan’s Saim Ayub dropped a dolly to offer a lifeline to David Warner. The error took place in the 14th over of Australia’s first innings.
Ayub’s mistake left his teammates disappointed.

Former Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, who was standing at the second slip, had his hand on his face after seeing Ayub drop a sitter.
Warner was batting at 20 when when given a repreive.
The Aussie southpaw though added just 14 more to his tally before he was dismissed by Agha Salman. This time, Babar completed a fine catch to send the opener back to the dressing room.

The Sydney crowd gave the retiring Warner a standing ovation.
“It was a pretty good ball he got there,” Australia skipper Pat Cummins said about Warner’s dismissal. “He always finds a way to get himself up and he looked like a man on a mission when he walked out to bat. I’m sure he’ll get a second innings out there to score a few more runs.”
Warner, who still has a chance to bat in the second innings of his last Test, has so far scored over 8700 runs since making his debut in this format back in 2011.
The 37-year-old has so far notched up 26 Test centuries.
Coming back to the third Test, Australia reached 116 losing two wickets on the curtailed second day of the Test on Thursday. The hosts are still 197 runs behind Pakistan’s first innings total of 313.
Marnus Labuschagne is currently unbeaten at 23 alongside Steve Smith on six.
“I think we’re starting to get used to it here in Sydney each year but yeah, it’s frustrating to lose a bit of time to light and then now a bit of rain settling in,” Cummins said.
The Aussies lead the three-match Test series against Pakistan 2-0.
