Stones were thrown at the train by which Rahul was travelling.

New Delhi: A day after stones were thrown at the train by which Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was travelling, the party is already rethinking the Gandhis' austerity drive.

Party sources have told CNN-IBN that Ludhiana was Rahul Gandhi's last train ride and indicate that Soina Gandhi too will not be flying economy in commercial aircraft again.

Speaking at a press conference, Congress Spokesperson Jayanti Natarajan said bluntly that security concerns for top leaders would have to be kept in mind.

Meanwhile, Rohtak Police are investigating the incident of stone-throwing at the Shatabdi Express which was carrying Rahul Gandhi to Ludhiana.

The Inspector General of Rohtak, V Kamaraj, said that it may just have been the work of children up to mischief, but a case has been registered after the guard of the train says he saw four men throwing stones at the train. However, no one has been arrested so far.

"We have been able to identify the place where the stone pelting took place and now we are looking for the miscreants. As per the guard's version, there were four people. We are trying our level best. There should be a breakthrough soon," Kamraj said.

Window panes of three coaches of the train were damaged in the stone pelting.
