New Delhi: Congress General Secretary Digvijaya Singh on Tuesday released letters by the Telugu Desam Party and the YSR Congress in favour of a separate state of Telangana. In a statement, Digvijaya expressed concern over the protests in Seemandhra, assuring that the concerns will be met.
"The Group of Ministers will hold detailed consultations with all stakeholders on these and other sensitive issues.," Digvijaya said in his statement.
He also appealed to the people of Seemandhra to end their agitation for a 'healthy dialogue process'.
Digvijaya had earlier accused YSR Congress and TDP of "politicial opportunism" and "turn around" on Telangana issue. "Surprised with the turn around of Chandra Babu (Naidu) and Jagan (Jaganmohan Reddy). Both had given support to Telengana in writing. Amazing Political Opportunism!," the AICC general secretary had earlier said.
