New Delhi: Even as the ruling Congress got decimated in the Assembly elections, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda retained his constituency Garha Sampla Kiloi.
He defeated Indian National Lok Dal's Satish Kumar Nandal by a margin of over 25,000 votes. Garhi Sampla Kiloi in Jind district was amongst the seats the Congress was relying heavily on.
Congress has conceded defeat in the state as the BJP races ahead to form government in the state. Opposition INLD is on the second spot. Party spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that the party should accept this defeat with humility.
