Kerala Janapaksham to field its own candidates

Kozhikode: Kerala Janapaksham party, led by K Raman Pillai, a former BJP leader, on Saturday said that the party will field its own candidates in certain districts in the April 13 Assembly election to Kerala.

Speaking to mediapersons here, Pillai said that the party had been supporting the CPM-led Left Democratic Front (LDF), but the front failed to keep up its words and hence Janapaksham is fielding its own candidates.

The party will put up its own candidates in the districts of Kozhikode, Palakkad, Ernakulam, Idukki, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram, he said, adding the party will take a decision on their stand in other districts before March 31.

Kerala Janapaksham had support LDF during the parliament and civic polls.
