Sultanpur: Samajwadi Party (SP) Lok Sabha candidate from Sultanpur and former MP Atiq Ahmad said that he knows how to contest elections and his opponents will get the reply in the same language in which they challenge him.
Ahmad said that he has been a five-time MLA and also won Lok Sabha elections but contesting from Sultanpur has given him much joy as it was the first time that he was contesting from a seat which had been selected by Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh.
The politician added that till now he himself used to decide the seat to contest.
Claiming that he knows what people of the region want, Ahmad said he knew the pain a farmer endured while toiling in his field and the dreams of the youngsters. Samajwadi Party has always been with the backward castes and Muslims, said Ahmad.
"Even my opponents know that I can go to any length to ensure justice for the downtrodden," he said.
