New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is likely to step out of his comfort zone and is likely to contest from the state of Uttar Pradesh in the Lok Sabha elections. A day before the BJP's Central Election Committee's meet, sources say that the party's top leadership is, however, not yet clear on whether Modi should contest from Varanasi, Allahabad or Lucknow in UP.
Modi is also expected to contest from Gujarat and the party is hoping that his candidature from two states will boost local cadre.
Meanwhile, BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi held a meeting with his supporters in Varanai on Tuesday evening. Joshi has said that he is keen on contesting from Varanasi.
Sources say that the BJP's plans of making Joshi contest from Kanpur may face trouble as Kalraj Mishra is also reportedly eyeing the Kanpur seat.
