New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi will be on a two-day visit to the North Eastern states of Nagaland and Tripura from Thursday during which he will hold interactions with students and interview potential candidates for the on-going Youth Congress drive.
Gandhi will reach Nagaland on November 9 and inaugurate the new auditorium of Nagaland University, which will be followed by an interaction with the students of the University.
The same day he will meeting with potential candidates for Youth Congress in Dimapur district. An hour later, he will address a public meeting in the District Sports Council Ground there.
He will address two more public meetings at Kailashahar in North Tripura and Udaipur in Sourth Tripura the next day, sources in Congress said.
Gandhi, who looks after NSUI and Youth Congress, has been focussing on the membership drive in North East and strenghten the twin bodies of Congress for quite some time and this visit is part of his long-term plans.
