Thiruvananthapuram: Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman PJ Kurien on Tuesday released a defence in connection with the Suryanelli gangrape case, with just two days to go for the Budget Session in Parliament. Referring to the Supreme Court judgement which cleared him, he said that his name was not even in the FIR filed in the case.
He further claimed that the new case does not include him since the SC judgement completely exonerated him in 2007.
Referring to his exoneration by the Kerala High Court, Kurien said that two judicial processes and three police inquiries had cleared him in the last 17 years.
