Chennai: The final list of constituencies to be contested by Congress under the seat sharing deal with DMK for the April 13 Assembly polls in Tamil Nadu is likely to be released on Monday.
Congress, which has been allotted 63 seats, on Sunday held its fifth round of talks for about an hour with DMK poll panel headed by Deputy Chief Minister MK Stalin at Anna Arivalayam, the DMK headquarters.
Later speaking to reporters, TNCC President KV Thangkabalu said the talks on identifying the constituencies were in "completing stage".
"After the approval of the leadership of both the Congress and DMK, the final list will be published probably tomorrow", he said.
Asked whether they were happy with the talks, he said, "wait for a few hours".
The two parties, which clinched the seat sharing deal after much haggling last week, had four rounds of talks till Friday. However, none of the Congress poll panel members turned up on Saturday for talks, indicating that another round of tough bargaining was on between the two key UPA partners.
