Actor KPY Bala Demands Justice For 5th Grade Student’s Heinous Murder In Puducherry

A 56-year-old man and a 19-year-old boy raped and murdered a 5th-class girl in Puducherry. Authorities have apprehended two individuals in connection with the murder of the young girl. The decomposed body was discovered in a drain near her residence. The tragic event unfolded after she went missing from her home on March 2. The incident sparked widespread protests. Political leaders, as well as celebrities, have condemned the heinous act, demanding severe punishment for the perpetrators. Recently, actor KPY Bala, in a media statement, showed deep concern about the tragic incident. He urged severe punishment for the culprits. When asked about actor Thalapathy Vijay’s possible political debut, Bala expressed support, stating that Vijay’s decisions are praiseworthy.

KPY Bala was recently in attendance at the anniversary of a private college situated in Ammapet, Salem. During the event, he entertained the audience with dance moves to popular songs, accompanied by the students.

Last Saturday, March 2, the girl was reported missing. Her body was found on Tuesday, with her limbs bound and covered in cloth. The police then arrested 56-year-old Vivekanandan and 19-year-old Karunas (also known as Kakka) on charges of murder, kidnapping, and violations of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) and SC/ST Acts. Additionally, a Special Investigation Team (SIT), headed by Senior Superintendent of Police Kalaivanan, has been formed.

Police are still investigating the matter and finding the exact cause of death, awaiting the post-mortem report from the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER).

Puducherry’s Home Minister A Namassivayam has conducted an investigation. Police Chief B Srinivas says SIT will give updates soon.

Police confirmed that besides the two suspects already apprehended, five more individuals are currently in custody, and are being investigated.

KPY Bala is best known for Oke Oka Jeevitham, Run Baby Run and Pulikkuthi Pandi. The actor was last seen in the film Ghosty. He has a few films in the pipeline including Dhillu Irundha Poradu, Nanban Oruvan Vandha Piragu, Madhil Mel Kaadhal, Medical Miracle, and Boomer Uncle.
