In the latest updates, the muhurat ceremony for the Kannada film Anna From Mexico took place recently in a temple. The reports indicate that the makers conducted the mahurat for the film earlier this month. The mahurat, held on December 15, 2023, saw the inaugural scene shot at the Bande Mahakalamma temple, as per additional reports. Previously, the film’s lead, Daali Dhananjaya, was featured in a poster released by the makers on his birthday.
Directed by Shankar Guru, who previously collaborated with Dhananjaya in the film Badava Rascal, Anna From Mexico is touted as an action family entertainer. Satya Rayala is producing the film under the banner of Rayala Studios, with music composed by Vasuki Vaibhav. The official shoot for the film is scheduled to commence in January, covering various locations, including Mexico. Event photos depict the director’s mother preparing the camera, and producer Janhvi Royal utilizing the clapper for the film. Earlier reports hinted at the film exploring the bond between a grandmother and a grandson.
Meanwhile, Dhananjaya is engaged in multiple upcoming projects. The actor is set to begin filming for Uttarakaanda, directed by Rohit Padaki. He is also part of the Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule and Zebra. Additionally, the actor is gearing up to introduce new talents through his production house, Daali Pictures.
Dhananjaya’s most recent appearance was in the Kannada film Tothapuri: Chapter 2, a sequel to the 2022 film Tothapuri: Chapter 1. Directed by Vijaya Prasad, the cast includes Jaggesh, Aditi Prabhudeva, and Suman Ranganathan. Arun Andrews and Hemanth Subrahmanya handled the music for the film, produced by KA Suresh, and it was released on September 28, 2023.
