Nayanthara Lovingly Cradles One Of Her Twin Boys, Says 'All Of God’s Grace In One Tiny Face'

Apart from being a stellar actress, Nayanthara is a doting mother to her twin boys, Uyir and Ulagam. Time and again, she and her husband, Vignesh, share happy moments with their little ones. On Sunday too, the proud mommy took to her social media handle to drop a happy glimpse of her tiny tots as he rested on her. Sharing the photo, the Jawan actress wrote, ‘All of God’s grace in one tiny face.’

Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan tied the knot on June 9, 2022. They had an intimate wedding ceremony in Mahabalipuram, outside of Chennai. Many stars, including Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Ajith Kumar, and Vijay Sethupathi, attended the fairytale wedding. They welcomed their twin boys via surrogacy.

Nayanthara made her Bollywood debut earlier last year with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan. The film, directed by Atlee, received positive reviews from the audience and earned more than Rs 1000 crore globally.

The actress recently made headlines when her recent film, Annapoorni, was accused of hurting Hindu sentiments. The film that was released on Netflix has now been removed. Later, the actress issued an apology.

“In our sincere attempt to share a positive message, we may have inadvertently caused hurt. We did not expect the removal of a censored film, previously showcased in theaters, from the OTT platform. My team and I never intended to hurt anyone’s sentiments, and we understand the gravity of this issue. Being someone who wholeheartedly believes in God and frequently visits temples across the country, it is the last thing I would intentionally do. To those whose feelings we’ve touched, I extend my sincere and heartfelt apologies,” she said.

“The intention behind ‘Annapoorni was to uplift and inspire, not to cause distress. Over the last two decades, my journey in the film industry has been guided by a singular intention: to spread positivity and foster learning from one another,” Nayathara added.

Nayanthara played the titular role of Annapoorni. The film revolved around a woman hailing from a conservative Brahmin family who wishes to become a top chef in India. But she has a few hurdles to cross. One of which is her orthodox family beliefs. In the movie, there are several scenes that show her struggle.

One of them was her classmate, pushing her out of her comfort zone to eat meat. In an attempt to convince her to eat, the classmate mentions Lord Ram, claiming that he also consumed meat and that it was not a sin.

Former Shiv Sena leader Ramesh Solanki has filed a police complaint against the film, alleging that the film has hurt’sentiments of the Hindu community.’ Taking to X, previously known as Twitter, Solanki said that the film accused the film of being ‘anti-Hindu’. The film was eventually removed from Netflix.
