Salaar: KGF Star Yash Becomes a Part of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel Film But Not In a Cameo Role

Prabhas returned to the big screen with Salaar. The action-packed film is helmed by KGF director Prashanth Neel. Owing to the connection, many were hoping to see Prabhas and Yash share the screen in Salaar. While Prashanth clarified that the two worlds are not connected, Yash was brought up in the opening credits of Salaar. No, no, we don’t mean in ways of a cameo. In photos circulating from the first day shows, fans pointed out that Hombale Films, which is backing Salaar, has expressed their gratitude towards Yash.

A thank you slide was placed in the opening credits dedicated to Yash. Although Prashanth and Prabhas are yet to comment on the thank you note, fans are speculating that they expressed their gratitude towards Yash for being a part of the film’s muhuratham shot.

For the unversed, Salaar’s muhurat puja and first shot was done in January 2021. Yash had attended the puja and posed for a few photos with Prabhas.

Prashanth Neel had clarified earlier this week that Yash’s KGF world is not connected with Prabhas’ Salaar world. Speaking with Galata Plus, Prashanth said, “People started comparing it to the tone I had set in KGF. They started drawing some theories. I think this came a long time before the teaser came out or a couple of years back. They said, ‘This must be from the universe of KGF’. It was my mistake that I did not come out and say it loud enough. There is no part of Salaar that has a connection with KGF.”

Prithviraj also echoed the same emotion when he spoke to News18 exclusively. He said that all comparisons would be put to rest once Salaar hits the screens. “I understand the comparisons that are happening between Salaar and KGF-2. I am a big Prashant Neel fan and I would have been disappointed had I seen his next film after KGF-2, which opens in a tulip field in Amsterdam. It is not something that I expect from him. It is too premature for the audience because 10 minutes into Salaar people will forget all the comparisons. Salaar is much bigger and grander than KGF-2. The scale of the film is so huge that it can even dwarf KGF-2,” he told us.

Meanwhile, the title reveal video of Yash’s upcoming film Toxic was also played during the interval of Salaar and it was welcomed with a massive roar. Watch the video below:
