Apple AirTag 2 is not launching next year and new reports claim that launch timeframe has now been pushed to 2025.
Ming-Chi Kuo has revised his estimates for the product launch, which was earlier pegged to be for Q4 2024 but Kuo has now pointed out that the mass production of AirTag 2 has been delayed to 2025 without giving any reason for this change.
Kuo has also talked about the possible integration of the AirTag 2 with Apple Vision Pro headset that might have played a big role in the delay of its launch by one more year. It is intriguing to hear the possible links between AirTag and the Vision Pro mixed reality headset. It is understandable that both the devices will have the U2 chip and other hardware upgrades for the AirTag 2 that will make it capable. All these upgrades mean the AirTag 2 will be costlier than the previous version.
Apple clearly has some out of the box plans with the next-gen AirTag and not just limit its use to a tracker. The company has launched a new Apple Pencil out of the blue this week that has a USB C port for charging and does not support wireless charging. It also doesn’t have the pressure sensitivity which is a crucial part of what makes the Apple Pencil tick.
The new so-called Apple Pencil comes to India for Rs 7,990 and once again you only have it in white colour. There were reports that Apple will launch a new iPad Air and Mini this month but those have been put to bed by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, who claims these iPads are more likely to launch in the spring time next year.
