New Delhi: Within a week of launching the second edition of its smartwatch in the market, LG has halted its sales over some hardware issues.
The LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE was found to have some hardware issues impacting the everyday functionality of the device which led to the cancellation of further sales of the smartwatch.
A report on Ars Technica notes that the company didn’t go into details of the issue but assured that there was "no danger to the user," and "there are no safety issues or concerns with the product."
It is unclear if the device would be up for sale again. Meanwhile, LG has not yet announced a recall of the device.
The LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE was the first Android Wear watch to come with cellular support and also the first to be shipped with the latest Android Marshmallow.
