PlayStation 'State of Play' 2024: New Games, Gameplay, And Everything You Can Expect
Here's what you can expect from the PlayStation State of Play in a couple of days as it competes with Xbox and Nintendo.

After months of anticipation, Sony has officially revealed that it will host another PlayStation State of Play event on January 31 at 2 PM PT or 3:30 AM IST.

The event is anticipated to last approximately 40 minutes and will showcase a total of 15 games, encompassing both new releases and titles that have already been announced. Among them are games such as Rise of the Ronin and Stellar Blade.

Sony has also emphasised a special focus on showcasing PSVR 2 games slated for release this year and beyond.

PlayStation State of Play: What To Expect

Unlike PlayStation Showcase events, State of Plays are smaller and usually focus on one game or providing updates on what’s already known. In the past, we have seen these events showcase games like Horizon Forbidden West, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and more.

As for what is expected, there’s talk that Sony might show a new trailer for Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding 2 for the PS5, but we’ll have to wait and see if that happens. Either way, the show is expected to include other games like Rise of the Ronin, Hell Divers, and more.

This State of Play follows Xbox Developer Direct earlier this year, wherein the gaming giant finally showed the gameplay trailer of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. It will be interesting to see how the PlayStation camp answers back to Xbox and company.

What's your reaction?
