Sony Entertainment Television is all set to premiere its upcoming family drama, Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Hai. Taking to its Instagram handle, the channel has treated the viewers with a sneak peek of the daily soap. Starring Meera Deosthale and Zaan Khan in pivotal roles, the show delves into a pertinent issue plaguing modern society – dowry. Shedding light on the protagonist’s fight against this social evil, the narrative unfolds with Meera Deosthale portraying Nandini, a character deeply rooted in tradition yet resilient in opposing any belief that compromises a woman’s dignity. Zaan Khan takes on a significant role in the series as well.
The promotional video introduces viewers to Nandini’s journey, with Meera Deosthale adorned as a newlywed lost in thought before her mirror, reflecting on her marriage to Zaan Khan. The couple appears content, having followed all the rituals of their union. A voiceover can be heard that said, “Kuch riwaz humare samaj ke gaurav hain, aur kuch samaj par grahan (Some traditions are the pride of our society, while some burden it).”

Contrastingly, the promo reveals Zaan Khan’s on-screen parents accepting dowry from Meera Deosthale’s character, including cash and a luxurious car. Unaware of this transaction, the bride later discovers the truth and decides to take a stand. Confronting her in-laws, she demands the return of the dowry.

Not only the fans but Meera Deosthale’s friends from the industry have congratulated her on the new role. Although reports suggest that the show will soon be broadcast on Sony Entertainment Television, the exact premiere date is currently being kept under wraps.
