Palak Tiwari On Her Decision To Enter The Film Industry: 'Mom Never Influenced Me'

Palak Tiwari is steadily making her mark in the entertainment industry. From showcasing her dancing skills alongside Harrdy Sandhu in the song video Bijlee Bijlee to starting her Bollywood journey with Salman Khan in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, her professional achievements are noteworthy. While she has garnered a substantial fan base, there has been speculation that her decision to pursue a career in showbiz was influenced by her mother, actress Shweta Tiwari. However, at a recent event, Palak clarified her ambitions and denied that her professional path was inspired by her mother.

A recent report by ETimes quoted the actress as saying, “My mom always knew that I wanted to be an actor. She is a talented actress, but that was never the reason I wanted to enter showbiz. I always felt I had it in me and had expressed my wish to join the profession when I was really young. But she never influenced me in any way. In fact, she would have been happy even if I had decided to become a cricketer, chef, or fashion designer. She has been supportive about my choices, and I am glad that she let me choose what I wanted to do.”

Palak’s mother, Shweta Tiwari, is a well-known face in Indian television. She has been a part of some successful TV shows since her debut with Kausatii Zindagi Kay in 2001. However, Palak believes that she was not made for TV despite it being easy for her to venture into that domain due to her mother’s success. In an earlier interview with Mastii, the actress stated, “I knew that I wanted to do movies. I feel my mom did TV for so many years and she has handled and done everything so well. There is nothing left for me to do. And there would anyway be comparison, but I think I never stood a chance in TV. Movies for me was comparatively a bit difficult to enter, but in TV, my mom has a legacy. So that was very easy for me, I got a lot of offers. But I didn’t want to do it.”
