Recently, information about billionaires embracing Cryonics, hoping that science will unlock the secret of immortality one day is in the headlines.
It is believed that many of the billionaires choose to cryogenically freeze their bodies after death, wanting that future technology might revive them. Although there is currently no technology that can bring a dead person back to life.
However, a technology bringing dead people back to life by reviving their bodies might sound like science fiction, but many believe in its potential. Among them are wealthy individuals, some of whom have already passed away and assigned their bodies to a specialised system. These systems are designed to preserve their bodies until scientists develop the technology to revive them. But these individuals have also found a solution to another problem, when they are brought back to life, where will their money come from?
Billionaires have found their answer. The list of such people includes more than 5,500 who have resolved to freeze in extreme cold immediately after death. This includes hundreds of wealthy Britons who have invested in a multimillion-dollar industry known as cryonics, which is the process of freezing a corpse until scientists find a way to bring it back to life. When these individuals awaken in the future perhaps, they won’t do so without financial resources. Even a specialised service called resurrection trust is now available to preserve their wealth for their future selves.
This is like any other trust where designated beneficiaries manage the assets after death. But in this case, the legal agreement names the frozen corpse or brain as the beneficiary, treating it as an unborn descendant. According to the Daily Mail, experts believe this is far more prudent than burying gold.
Cryonics comes with a heavy price tag. People invest in crores to freeze their bodies. If they are successfully revived, their trust will provide the financial support they need to live once again in the future.
