Viral video shows red velvet cake 'deep fried' before being served with sweet sauces on top.

You know, mixing things up, well, “food up,” isn’t always a bad idea. Sure, we understand if you’ve had your fill of disappointing and downright bizarre culinary experiments, but trust us, this one might just change your mind, at least a bit. So, what’s the buzz about, you ask? It’s none other than a fried red velvet cake. And before you raise an eyebrow, let us assure you that the internet isn’t dismissing this idea outright; instead, it’s rather intrigued and eager to give it a shot.

So, what’s the reasoning behind this curiosity? Well, it’s because this fried treat doesn’t involve adding salty or spicy elements to it, but rather elevating it to a new level of fanciness and crispiness. In a viral clip circulating on the internet, one can witness a slice of red velvet cake skewered on a stick, dipped into batter, then plunged into hot oil for deep frying. It’s then adorned with caster sugar, assorted fruits, chocolate, and a drizzle of white sauce before being sliced open to reveal its utterly scrumptious appearance.

Here’s the Viral Video:

Soon, many food enthusiasts chimed in to express their excitement in the comments section. “If I’m being honest I’ll like to have a taste of that. And I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling that way,” exclaimed one user. “This is tasty and I am salivating already,” declared another. The third one expressed, “You gonna sit there and tell me in my fat face that doesn’t look delicious?”

Of course, amidst the excitement, there were also dissenting voices wary of the indulgent option. “And people wonder why Americans are so fat.” “Oh goodness! Deep fried cake?! After my weekend that actually makes me feel a bit queezy!” commented another.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time a sweet dish has been subjected to frying, but in a more distasteful manner. In a previous instance, someone attempted to make Parle-G Pakodas.

They started by dunking Parle-G biscuits into a batter typically used for making Pakodas (fritters), consisting of Besan (Gram flour) and various spices. Then, they proceeded to deep-fry them. However, in a subsequent part of the same video, they took it a step further by preparing a potato filling, similar to what Desis typically create for parathas. This involved boiling potatoes, peeling them, and adding a dash of spices. The bizarre twist emerged when they sandwiched the potato filling between two Parle-G biscuits, dipped them in the same flour batter, and deep-fried them.
