Bhaktapur: Amidst the despair and gloom in Nepal, a miracle survivor has been rescued from the rubble.
A 5-month-old baby boy was rescued from under the debris after the massive earthquake in Nepal on Saturday.
The infant was rescued by the Nepalese Army and is reported to be in stable condition.
Initial examinations have not shown any internal injuries.
Due to the efforts of the security forces and soldiers, the rescue was successful.
The death toll in Nepal's earthquake could reach 10,000, Prime Minister Sushil Koirala said on Tuesday, ordering intensified rescue efforts and appealing for foreign supplies of tents and medicines.
"The government is doing all it can for rescue and relief on a war footing," Koirala said in an interview. "It is a challenge and a very difficult hour for Nepal."
