A US woman was charged with sexual assault after she became pregnant with the child of her 14-year-old victim.
The accused Brittni Gray, 23, who is from Paragould in Arkansas, was found to in a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy. Police had received a tip on their relationship on February 28 last year from the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline, KAIT reported.
On September 29, police got a second hotline tip from a witness who claimed to have seen Gray and the boy having sexual relations. Police interviewed the second witness on January 22 this year, who told them Gray and the alleged victim had been in a sexual relationship for approximately one year.
Detective Rhonda Thomas stated in the affidavit that according to the witness, Gray is currently pregnant with the victim’s child. Gray is reportedly pregnant, according to medical reports collected from a local hospital, said Thomas.
“Video footage was obtained showing the alleged victim and the alleged offender entering the hospital together during a recent visit to the emergency room,” the court documents said.
Greene County District Court Judge Daniel Stidham found probable cause to arrest Gray on one count of sexual harassment in the fourth degree, a Class D felony, after reviewing the affidavit. Police arrested Gray on March 1.
