Boxer Tyson Fury is all set to take part in a crossover fight with former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou at the end of this month. Ahead of the much-talked-about bout, Fury recently opened up on his prospects of making a return to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). When asked about it, the British professional boxer said that making a comeback to WWE can be a sensible choice after he decides to quit boxing. Fury made the big revelation during an interaction with Sports Illustrated.
“I’ve been doing this for 15 years, which is a long time. I know it won’t last forever. And it’s true, I’ve had a few good stints in WWE. There is still a lot of opportunity there. It’s an amazing experience there. At the moment, I’m very busy with boxing. I’m still active and on top of my chosen profession, so this is where my focus will be. After that, we’ll see,” Fury said.

Tyson Fury made his WWE debut in 2019. He had featured in a fight back then, sharing the ring with Braun Strowman at the Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia four years back in November. Fury was also involved in last year’s Clash at the Castle pay-per-view. The Gypsy King had saved Drew McIntyre back then from an attack committed by Austin Theory.
Tyson Fury’s upcoming battle with Francis Ngannou may not be a title-decider but the fight has still succeeded in garnering enough attention. The clash will mark Ngannou’s debut in the field of professional boxing. Many people have already stated that Fury should not have taken part in the bout against Ngannou. But the 35-year-old does not seem to be much bothered about what others are saying.
“They’re just jealous that I’m getting a bag and they’re not. It’s a large bag. I can barely carry it. No matter who you are or the profession, haters are going to hate. Go back in history and name the critics. Is it good or bad for boxing? Those are opinions of sheep, and that means nothing to the king of the jungle,” Fury said.
After the match against Francis Ngannou, Tyson Fury will feature in a fight for the undisputed heavyweight championship against Oleksandr Usyk. As per an ESPN report, the championship bout is expected to take place in Saudi Arabia. The match could reportedly happen on December 23 or probably in January next year.
