Roman Reigns’ much-awaited return to Friday night SmackDown took place this week. It was Reigns’ first return since defending his title against LA Knight at Crown Jewel. Soon after his comeback, the Tribal Chief faced a challenge from Randy Orton for his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
The latest episode of the WWE SmackDown occurred at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Viper also faced Jimmy Uso on the latest episode of the SmackDown. In the women’s segment, Mia Yim and Zelina Vega were up against the partnership of Asuka and Kairi Sane. WWE fans also got a chance to witness The United States Championship Tournament with Carmelo Hayes making his SmackDown debut last night.
On his SmackDown debut, Hayes was up against Grayson Waller. Kevin Owens and Austin Theory also lined up against each other in the second fight of The United States Championship Tournament.
In the first match of the night, Carmelo Hayes took on Grayson Waller in a first-round bout in the number one tournament for the WWE United States Championship.

Carmelo Hayes could not have asked for a better SmackDown debut than this. The former NXT champion was up against Grayson Waller last night. Hayes came up with Nothing But Net to claim his victory.
Kevin Owens vs Austin Theory
In the second battle of the night, Kevin Owens and Austin Theory fought each other and the duo, arguably, produced the best clash of the contender’s tournament so far on Friday night. The two fighters showcased some amazing skills and it was Owens who eventually emerged victorious.
Mia Yim and Zelina Vega vs Asuka and Kairi Sane
Bayley once again assisted her Damage CTRL teammates to guide them to a victory. Bayley’s external help was enough for Asuka and Kairi Sane to get the better of Mia Yim and Zelina Vega. The reunited Kabuki Warriors looked solid and exhibited some terrific understanding last night as tag team partners.
Randy Orton vs Jimmy Uso
In the fourth and final bout of the night, Randy Orton took on Jimmy Uso. Orton came up with his iconic RKO to register a win yesterday. The post-fight segment featured some action-packed events involving Roman Reigns and AJ Styles as well.
