Austrian Lucas Auer is the winner of the 2011 JK Racing Asia Series. Auer started the first two races in fourth and finished both on the podium in second, leaving him to start from second for the last two races. Overall, he completed the season with 292 points in 18 rounds.
Post the win, Auer said that "It feels great, I cannot believe it right now. After the qualifying we thought we will lose the Championship. It’s a really nice feeling, it’s really important for my future. I had to win this season and now I can see what I will do in the future".
Ikhwan, who came in a close second with 285 points, rounded off the season by creating history with his ten win streak. He signed off by saying,"Ten wins I am happy with that even though we didn’t win the Championship. We have proved to people that we are a strong team, we are very competitive and we can win. I am disappointed with myself, we should have won the Championship, but that's racing".
