Nissan's much awaited compact SUV, the Terrano will be unveiled in India on August 20. The unveiling, the company says, will happen in Mumbai.
The Terrano is to Nissan what the Duster is to Renault. Based on the same platform as the Renault Duster, the Terrano will have the option of a single petrol and diesel engine with the latter coming in two different power outputs. While the 1.6-litre petrol engine boasts of 104PS, the 1.5 turbodiesels will be offered as 85 and 110PS units.
All the engines will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Nissan could even offer the X-tronic CVT transmission from the Sunny and recently launched Micra automatics. However, we will have to wait till the actual unveil to find this out.
