New Delhi: When the Auto Expo 2016 opens to visitors this February, Tata Motors will be showcasing a variety of automobile exhibits including the production-spec Nexon SUV, the Hexa MPV, and a Tata-Hexa concept.
The Nexon compact SUV had bee first unveiled at the Auto Expo 2014. This year, it is expected to be showcased as a compact SUV based on the Indica Vista. It will compete with the recently launched Mahindra KUV100, Ford EcoScport, and the Mahindra TUV300 and likely to be launched in the country this year.
The Hexa MPV - a possible replacement for the Aria- is expected to start selling soon after the automotive exhibition concludes. It is, however, likely to feature exteriors which will be more premium than Aria and use the same engine and transmission from the Safari Storme Varicor 400. Tata Motors has also announced that an improved trim of the existing Storme Tuff will also be on display at the exhibition.
The Zica-based sedan, dubbed Kite 5, is likely to go on sale in February and will compete with the hatchbacks in the Rs 4-5 lakh price range.
Other than these highlights, Tata Motors has announced that it will also be showcasing plenty of concept vehicles as well as personalised trims of the Zica Aktiv, Hexa Tuff, and Zest.
