The company has also launched two new color options for the Alpha – Radiant Cyan and Marvel Black.
According to Yamaha, the Cygnus Alpha is developed to target customers who are in search of a scooter which will fulfil the needs of a family, with its concept of ‘easy to go and high utility city mover’ and is capable of giving a claimed mileage of 66 km/l, thanks to the Blue Core Technology that it comes equipped with.
The Alpha is powered by an air-cooled 113 cc, four stroke single cylinder engine and boasts storage capacity of an impressive 21 litres. Yamaha rolling out a variant with disc brake might end up giving the Alpha model the attention its other siblings have been having, given the rising demand of disc brakes among Indian buyers.
