Tamil actor Redin Kingsley tied the knot with television actress Sangeetha V on December 10. The news came as a pleasant surprise to fans since the wedding date was not disclosed earlier. The intimate ceremony, held last week, showcased the couple elegantly attired in understated fashion.
Sangeetha V entered the film industry with the Malayalam political thriller Gangotri in 1997. Initially cast as a secondary character in movies like Mammootty’s Ezhupunna Tharakan and Dileep’s Deepasthambham Mahascharyam, it was her roles in Khadgam and Pithamagan that earned her considerable acclaim. After a long gap, she made a comeback in 2019 with the film Seven, followed by notable performances in Vijay’s Master and Santhanam starrer Parris Jeyaraj.
Previously, Sangeetha tied the knot with Girish in 2009, and there were earlier reports in Tamil circles suggesting a divorce due to family issues. Sangeeta is the mother of a baby girl, and Redin is reported to be married to her. However, the couple has not officially disclosed any details about these aspects.
In an age dominated by extravagant celebrity weddings, often in exotic locales and extensively covered in the media, this modest and discreet ceremony presented a refreshing departure. The unassuming event unfolded in a Mysore temple, characterized by its simplicity and grounded nature. Limited to close friends and relatives, the wedding maintained an intimate atmosphere, deviating from the typical grandeur associated with such occasions.
On the other hand, Kingsley has been gaining prominence in the film industry with notable roles in movies like Kolamaavu Kokila and LKG, solidifying his status as a household name through his performance in Nelson Dilipkumar and Sivakarthikeyan’s Doctor.
Renowned for his impeccable comedic timing and humour creation, he has become a consistent presence in Nelson productions, including Beast and Jailer. His recent appearances in films like Rajinikanth’s Annathe, Vishal-SJ Suryah’s Mark Antony, and Nayanthara-Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal further showcase his versatile talent.
Redin Kingsley’s latest venture includes sharing the screen with Nayanthara in the Nilesh Krishnaa-directed film Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food. Notably, he has also featured in recent releases like Va Varalam Va and Conjuring Kannapan. Audiences can anticipate his upcoming role in the film Kanguva, alongside Suriya, adding another noteworthy project to his repertoire.
