New Delhi: English news channel CNN-IBN, part of Network18, won two Ramnath Goenka Awards for Excellence in Journalism, 2008 in New Delhi on Thursday. CNN-IBN's sister channel IBN Lokmat has also won an award for excellence in environmental journalism in a regional channel.
CNN-IBN correspondent Arijit Sen has won the Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Journalism, 2008 for reporting from the North-east category. Ramnath Goenka award for excellence in journalism, 2008 for 30 Minutes on reality TV was given to CNN-IBN's producer Suresh Mathew.
IBN Lokmat’s Amey Tirodkar bagged the Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in environmental journalism in a regional channel.
The Ramnath Goenka Awards were announced in three new categories: On-the-spot Reporting (Print and Broadcast), Investigative Reporting (Print and Broadcast) and Commentary and Interpretative Writing (Print).
