New Delhi: The markets have recovered from morning blues on the back of some buying witnessed in the IT, FMCG and banking sectors, however, metal and auto stocks are still trading under pressure with significant loss. Market breadth is slightly negative.
At 1052 hrs, IST, the Sensex was down 1.49 points or 0.01 per cent at 14298.22, and the Nifty down 3.90 points or 0.09 per cent at 4215.65. About 932 shares have advanced, 960 shares declined, and 60 shares are unchanged.
Top gainers on the Sensex are HDFC Bank at Rs 1,058 with 2.10 per cent, TCS at Rs 1,270 up 1.74 per cent, ACC at Rs 902.75 up 1.52 per cent.
Top losers on the Sensex are Bajaj Auto at Rs 2,269 down 9.25 per cent, HDFC at Rs 1,685 down 1.44 per cent and Hindalco at Rs 147 down 1.34 per cent.
Index heavyweight Hindustan Lever was trading at Rs 193.00 down 1.05 per cent from its previous close of Rs 195.05.
Index heavyweight Reliance was trading at Rs 1,695.80 up 0.65 per cent from its previous close of Rs 1,684.85.
Tech major Infosys was trading at Rs 1,996.75 up 0.68 per cent from its previous close of Rs 1,983.20.
Cigarette major ITC was trading at Rs 165.50 up 0.27 per cent from its previous close of Rs 165.05.
Refinery major HPCL was trading at Rs 298.75 down 2.26 per cent from its previous close of Rs 305.65.
