Register and log in to the Vidya Lakshmi portal. After this, the Common Education Loan Application (CELAF) has to be filled out by giving all the required details. CELAF is a single form that you can fill out to apply for education loans from multiple banks. This form has been issued by the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA). After filling out the form, you can search for the education loan as per your requirements and apply according to your requirements, eligibility, and convenience. A student can apply to a maximum of three banks on the Vidya Lakshmi portal through CELAF.
Thirteen banks are covered under this scheme and 22 types of education loans are given under this scheme. You will need an Aadhar card, voter ID or PAN card, a passport-size photo and proof of address.
Apart from this, the income certificate of the parents will also be required. Along with this, photocopies of high school and intermediate mark sheets will also have to be given. The most important thing will be the admission card of the institute where you are going to study. You will also have to provide full details of all types of expenses and the duration of the course.
